Today June 6, 2016 the Colorado Division of Insurance announced two more changes for individual policies. Anthem and Rocky Mountain Health Plans (RMHP) will not be offering PPO plans for individual plans. In fact, RMHP will only offer individual plans in Mesa County.

Both RMHP and Anthem will continue to offer PPO plans on their group plans.

Previously announced, Humana and United Healthcare will completely pull out of the individual market for 2017. In total, between United, Anthem, RMHP and Humana around 92,000 people with individual plans wll be affected. To the best of my knowledge, this means there will not be any PPO plans available for individual health plans in 2017.

Also in the DOI's announcement, a new plan will be coming to Colorado for individual plans. Bright Health Plans will begin offering plans for January 1, 2017 effective dates. This will be an HMO plan. More to come on this new carrier.

Alas, the ever changing world of health insurance!
